SEO is very important to marketers as it gives them a deep understanding of what the two companies have to offer in the athletic wear industry. Both the companies utilise celebrities / models to really draw attention to there clothing. Using clever slogans and posting them everywhere for people to see. My objective is to determine what one of the two sites is stronger when relating it to SEO.

As you can see in the following chart, Aldo is just a little bit more ahead of Nine West when it comes to the shoe industry. This may be because of the fact that Aldo sell men’s and women’s footwear, where Nine West is only women’s shoes. This meaning the market for Aldo is a lot larger then it is for Nine West. Nine West should look into producing a men’s shoe even if it’s just a dress shoe this will open the market to them that much more.

Summary:

Aldo’s strengths are that they are both a male’s and female’s shoe company known by many all over the world. They have lots of recognition and have celebrities that help endorse there products.  When it comes to Nine West they are very high fashion with great quality can also be more on the pricey side. Both these sites are similar in the sense that there websites are very modern and would appeal to more of a mature target market, and they are both very user friendly. At the same time Aldo is both males and females and more variety of shoes as Nine West is only women’s and more of a high fashion shoe line.

Conclusion:

When talking about shoes Aldo and Nine West are both very high quality brands known by many in the fashion world. They both use common key words throughout there site to attract customers like Free Shipping, free returns these are all key words future customers are looking for. When it comes down to it I think Aldo is the overall winner of this SEO Search analysis.
